The Story of Professor Jao Tsung-i, Master of Chinese Studies

Welcome to Jao Tsung-I Academy and unfold a rich cultural experience, explore the spiritual outlook and wisdom of this great master of Chinese Studies.

The Jao Tsung-I Academy Heritage Hall uses technology to connect historical memories, guiding the public through the “eight transformations” of this century-old heritage site—from the late Qing Dynasty Kowloon Customs Station and quarantine station to today’s vibrant cultural hub—showcasing the growth between the heritage and the city.

A total of approximately 60 Ancient Shu artifacts (craft exhibits) are on display. The venue is divided into 4 major sections, comprising 15 themed zones, including 6 interactive experiences. The exhibition covers Chinese history and culture, combining education with entertainment.

Lingnan Colour:

Jao Tsung-i and the Gentlemen of the Arts

Supported by Simon Suen Foundation and co-organised by Jao Tsung-I Academy and the Sun Museum, the exhibition selected 14 collaborative works by Professor Jao and the Masters of Lingnan: Zhao Shao-ang, Guan Shan-yue, and Yang Shan-sum.

Step Forward at Jao Tsung-I Academy: 11th Anniversary Commemorative Dual-Theme Art Exhibition

Supported by Simon Suen Foundation and co-hosted by Jao Tsung-I Academy and the Sun Museum, the exhibition will display traditional Chinese paintings jointly created by Professor Jao Tsung-i and the legendary four masters of Lingnan school of painting: Zhao Shao-ang, Li Xiong-cai, Guan Shan-yue, and Yang Shan-sum.

Master Ji Cheng's Calligraghy and Painting Exhibitions

The theme of this painting and calligraphy exhibition is “Knowing the Heart is Not Far Away”. We hope that through the works of Master Chi Chern, we can realize that “the heart is not far away”, so that our body and mind can stay in the present moment.
