Exhibition Concept
Lu Xiao Hong、Han Fei and Wang Jun, get together to make the exhibition a chance. All studied in Nanjing University of the Arts, these trio of young artists showcase paintings revealing abstract thoughts of lives with strong personal style. For the first time, the three artists jointly hold exhibition in Hong Kong, looking forward to share their contemporary art strokes with the Hong Kong audience.
Han Fei and Wang Jun were meticulous trained up in traditional strokes, their works are seemingly harmonious but different in techniques. Han Fei’s paintings are elegant and neat, with a certain sense of detachment of contemporary art, creating a plausible visual experience for the viewers. Wang Jun’s paintings often give a touch of femininity. She is passionate to find themes in daily life and then add her own interpretation on the paper. The light and blissful colours are often cherished by collectors.
Alternatively, Lu Hong Xiao was trained up in western strokes therefore she has a non-traditional perspective in Chinese ink painting, though she applies ink in her paintings most among trio. Lu Xiao Hong prefers expressive picture to deal with her content, the modification and abstract images in her paintings project a sensation of differentiated experience in everyday life.
Ink, the basic element in their paintings, which either explicitly or implicitly, to create their works. Recreation, a feeling passed to viewers. Ink stays, deposits, turns into an image on paper that is different from everyday cognition. Recreation can be quiet, can be lively. Their works, calm or amuse, all bring viewers a leisure experience.
“There must be strengths among trio”. Can you be inspired by their mutual support?
