Lingnan in Chinese Art – Lecture on Chinese Culture Lingnan is generally regarded as the Guangdong province. Since the Song dynasty, a large number of northern people moved southward, which greatly impacted the Lingnan region. This allowed the integration of the cultures of North, East and South China. Later upon cultural exchange with the West, the paintings and craft became more creative and diversified in Lingnan. A colorful and unique Lingnan style was thus established. Read more
