Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition Phases 5 & 6 - Open call
Hong Kong Emerging Artists Exhibition is an art programme sponsored by Simon Suen Foundation and co-organised by Jao Tsung-I Academy and Sun Museum. The aim is to provide a free platform for young Hong Kong artists to exhibit their works, which allows the public to recognise their art direction and achievements and helps them grow into elites of the art world. By encouraging young artists to revitalise the spirit of Chinese art and unleash their creativity, the philosophy of reviving Chinese culture from Jao Tsung-i, Master of Chinese Studies, is inherited through the programme. With the unique works of the young artists, the public can experience the greatness of Chinese culture, thereby adding a new chapter to the promotion of the visual arts in Hong Kong.
Jao Tsung-I Academy and Sun Museum will announce recurring open call for artists to apply for this exhibition programme. Jao Tsung-I Academy will provide the exhibition hall, while Sun Museum is responsible for curatorial work.

Phase 5: From October 2026 to March 2027
Phase 6: From April 2027 to September 2027

Eligibility

Applicants must be permanent Hong Kong residents, aged* between 18 and 40 by the closing date of application.

Any education level or occupation.

Applicants must submit a completed application form that includes:
➢Personal information and resume
➢Images of 5 recent artworks** and list the title, medium, size, year of creation and a brief description of these artworks. The artworks could be Chinese or Western paintings, calligraphy, printmaking, photography, ceramics, and sculpture. (Installation art and digital media works are not accepted.)
➢Application form must be sent to hkemergingartists@gmail.com by email.

Upon successful submission of the application form, applicants will receive a confirmation email within three working days.
*Born after 11 May, 1985 and before 12 May, 2008.
**Recent artworks should be created from 2025 or onwards.
