"Departing from JTIA" was our theme last year. Over the past year, guided by our conviction and staying true to our mission of "cultural heritage," we have stepped out from Sham Shui Po into Hong Kong Island, bringing culture, history, and heritage preservation beyond physical architecture and into local communities. As we mark our 12th anniversary, JTIA will continue to connect dots into lines and weave lines into webs, enabling culture, history, and conservation to thrive and endure.
Our Open Day is September 19–20 and September 25–26. We warmly invite the public to step once again into this historic building complex nestled within the city. Through a variety of activities—including bazaar, exhibitions, guided tours, and workshops—visitors can immerse themselves in the rich cultural ambience of this cultural hub and experience firsthand the unique charm and renewed vitality of these historic buildings.

Professor Jao Tsung-I was born in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, based in Hong Kong, and is well-known internationally. Throughout his whole life, he had advocated “amalgamation of academics and art” and made outstanding achievements while doing so. His remarkable life has inspired new generations. Welcome to Jao Tsung-I Academy and unfold a rich cultural experience, explore the spiritual outlook and wisdom of this great master of Chinese Studies.
📍 Hall 1, The Gallery, Low Zone
Supported by Simon Suen Foundation and co-organised by Jao Tsung-I Academy and the Sun Museum, the exhibition selected 14 collaborative works by Professor Jao and the Masters of Lingnan: Zhao Shao-ang, Guan Shan-yue, and Yang Shan-sum.
Visitors can explore symbols of gentility found in nature, such as plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, pines, and lotus flowers.
📍Hall 2, The Gallery, Low Zone
The exhibition features five participating artists, showcasing over 40 works, including ceramics, calligraphy, seal carving, acrylic, and Chinese ink. The artists present their aspiration and achievement through various mediums, intends to revitalise the spirit of Chinese art and inherit the philosophy of Professor Jao Tsung-i, the master of traditional Chinese studies.

位於饒宗頤文化館的《玩轉中國古文明》互動展覽，是一場跨越五千年的文化探索之旅。導賞員帶領觀眾穿越時空，探索中國文明的歷史痕跡和古人智慧的精華，以精緻複刻文物展品、沉浸式多媒體互動及趣味主題工作坊，呈現古文明的青春面貌。滿足大小朋友的好奇心與探索欲，創造温馨的親子時光。
- 化身三星堆考古探險者，通過VR科技重現古蜀文明的遺址，探索的青銅面具與象牙之謎；
- 化身考古學家，在模擬考古現場進行文物發掘和探究；
- 體驗活字拓印石碑與青銅器上的文字與圖案，感受唐詩宋詞的魅力；
- 透過化石與骨骼研究，揭開中國恐龍的神秘面紗，探索其生活習性；
