Introduction
Dr. Tang Wai-hung, a key mastermind behind the golden age of Hong Kong television and a legendary Cantopop lyricist, unveils for the very first time his private collection of calligraphy and paintings by modern Chinese scholars, meticulously collected over more than forty years. Featuring 80 exceptional works by prominent modern Chinese scholars and intellectuals—including Kang Youwei, Liang Qichao, Hu Shih, and Jao Tsung-i—this collection represents not only masterpieces of extraordinary artistic value, but also the living spirit and intellectual legacy of scholars and educators since the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican era. Between every stroke and line, the literati integrity and the indelible imprint of a changing era resonate vividly.
