Summer Lotus

Appointment with the Lotus ‧ Taste the Lotus

“The lotus is the gentleman of flowers”, and summer is the season when the lotus blooms. Apart from appreciating the elegant and refined lotus flower, the whole lotus plant is also treasured, including its seed, heart, leaves, and root. All are rich in nutritional value and are good ingredients for health.

The lotus is an important theme in Chinese classical literature. Many classic poems and paintings have eulogized the nobleness of the lotus. The instructor, “Cooking Mama”, will share with you classic texts related to the lotus and expand on its virtues, as well as teach you how to create a small dish, the Honey Lotus Root with Sticky Rice. Everyone is welcome to come and appreciate the lotus!
