The Result of the 7th Inter-school Competition of Project Learning on Hong Kong’s History and Culture
Since 2011, the Inter-school Competition of Project Learning on Hong Kong’s History and Culture has been co-organized by the Hong Kong Museum of History and The Hong Kong Institute for Promotion of Chinese Culture to encourage students to learn by stepping outside the boundary of the classroom. By conducting field trips, interviews, and other investigations to collect first-hand data, students’ develop both an interest and ability in studying Hong Kong’s history and culture.
This year, with “Diversity in the District: Investigating the Historical Development of Hong Kong’s Towns and Districts” as the 7th competition’s theme, a total of 66 teams from 40 schools participated in the competition. Each participating team had to decide their research topic based on the year’s theme, and submit their work either as a written report or a short film/animation.
The award presentation ceremony will be held on 27 October 2018 at the Hong Kong Museum of History.
