Public Guided Tour

 

Welcome to the Jao Tsung-I Academy. Visitors are not only invited to explore the academy during opening hours, but also registering for our complimentary public guided tours, which provide an in-depth understanding of the narratives associated with this Grade III historic building complex.

Participants will be guided by professional docents, who will elucidate the historical evolution and revitalization process of the former Lai Chi Kok Hospital project. This experience will also offer insights into the unique cultural atmosphere and architectural characteristics of the site.

(Please arrive to the meeting point 5 minutes before the tour)

Remarks:

1. The Galleries and Heritage Hall at the Low Zone are closed on Mondays (except public holidays). The above-mentioned venues will not be included in the tour route on that day.
2. All public guided tours are conducted in Cantonese.
3. The tour will include outdoor visits. You are advised to wear comfortable outdoor clothing and sports shoes. It is also advisable to bring sufficient drinking water, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
4. To maintain order within the academy and ensure a pleasant visit for all guests, all visitors should adhere to the visitor guidelines.
5. The academy reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to arrangements based on actual circumstances.

Special Weather Arrangements

Should the Hong Kong Observatory issue a Typhoon Signal No. 3 or higher, or a Yellow Rainstorm Warning or above, within three hours prior to the commencement of the public guided tour, the tour will be canceled without special notice.
