Job Specification for Assistant Accountant:

 

Summary/ Objective

The Assistant Accountant will be assigned to assist the Accounting Manager in the accounting operation and reporting functions.

 

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Cheque issue, payment arrangement and document filing
  • Handle enquiries on payment status, reconcile monthly statements; bank balance and inter-Company accounts
  • Handle Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, Fixed Assets & General Ledger
  • Prepare vouchers and handle full sets of book-keeping by using Sage 50 accounting system on a timely manner
  • Assist in performing budgeting and Cashflow forecast (weekly & monthly)
  • Reconcile with the Hotel Information System (HIS) and handle the related interfaced transactions with General Ledger
  • Assist Accounting Manager in completion of month-end closing, year-end closing and financial audit in a timely manner
  • Asist in preparing monthly reports and financial analysis
  • Perform various ad hoc duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or above in Accounting qualification;
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience is preferred (fresh graduate will also be considered if suitable);
  • Experience in Peachtree/ MYOB Accounting Software to handle full sets of book-keeping independently;
  • Proficient in MS Excel skill is preferred;
  • Good English and Chinese typing skills;
  • Able to handle multi-tasks independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Mature, well organized and able to work under pressure;
  • Immediate available is highly preferred;

 

Monthly Salary – $15K -> $25K
