Job Specification for Assistant Accountant:
Summary/ Objective
The Assistant Accountant will be assigned to assist the Accounting Manager in the accounting operation and reporting functions.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cheque issue, payment arrangement and document filing
- Handle enquiries on payment status, reconcile monthly statements; bank balance and inter-Company accounts
- Handle Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, Fixed Assets & General Ledger
- Prepare vouchers and handle full sets of book-keeping by using Sage 50 accounting system on a timely manner
- Assist in performing budgeting and Cashflow forecast (weekly & monthly)
- Reconcile with the Hotel Information System (HIS) and handle the related interfaced transactions with General Ledger
- Assist Accounting Manager in completion of month-end closing, year-end closing and financial audit in a timely manner
- Asist in preparing monthly reports and financial analysis
- Perform various ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Higher Diploma or above in Accounting qualification;
- Minimum 2 years relevant working experience is preferred (fresh graduate will also be considered if suitable);
- Experience in Peachtree/ MYOB Accounting Software to handle full sets of book-keeping independently;
- Proficient in MS Excel skill is preferred;
- Good English and Chinese typing skills;
- Able to handle multi-tasks independently and meet tight deadlines
- Mature, well organized and able to work under pressure;
- Immediate available is highly preferred;
Monthly Salary – $15K -> $25K
